John is a skilled and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia.  He received a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta.  He has specialized training in sexual addiction treatment as a certified CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) through IITAP (International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals).  He has pursued additional training in the treatment of trauma, including such approaches as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Somatic Experiencing. 

John works with adults, adolescents, and couples to address a wide range of concerns, including men’s issues, relationship dynamics, life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, spiritual formation, and career counseling.  He works to provide safety and intentionality to clients for their process of healing and growth.

After working in the business sector for years, John left to serve in nonprofit leadership, where he spent more than a decade living in Central America working with an organization that serves street kids. John is fluent in Spanish and currently serves as the Spanish-speaking chaplain for the Atlanta Braves. In his free time, he loves running, playing golf, climbing mountains, and watching sports.
